BEFORE YOU BUY A SHED – OBVIOUS BUT DON’T OVERLOOK:

Before you buy a shed, measure the space that you’ve got and search by size;

Decide whether you want to buy a shed base for your shed, as some do come without bases, so check and add in the price of a base when you are comparison shopping;

Decide which way you want the door to open, and check that there is enough space for the door to open fully; you can get some (larger) sheds with double doors;

Do you want a wooden shed? If so, do you want larch lap (cheaper) or tongue and groove (more expensive)? The shed in this shed picture is larchlap, with overlapping panels like a garden fence; tongue and groove sheds are sturdier and the panels link together like floorboards;

Do you want the hassle of painting / maintaining your shed? You might want to consider a plastic  or metal shed, which are low maintenance but cost more.
